Australia’s leading renovation expert Cherie Barber of Renovating for Profit takes a tired 20-year-old kitchen and transforms it into a designer haven – without spending a fortune. An average kitchen makeover like this costs about $2000-$3,000.
One of her favourite tricks is to work with the existing cabinetry and update the doors, drawer fronts and end panels only. For this makeover, she decided on a slick two-tone scheme in dark grey and crisp white for the overhead doors. The doors are custom made and they can be measured and installed DIY, or by a carpenter or handyman.
Forget the stress of a full scale kitchen reno, this option takes one day to complete and everything can be left in the cupboards and drawers!
